Tamara Lee
Tamara received her bachelors of science in horticulture from Washington State University. She simultaneously creates from a pragmatic knowledge of plant culture as well as a creative interpreter of nature, creating paintings rich in passionate understanding.
A ‘self trained’ artist, Tamara has studied with several exceptional master artists and teachers both in America and Switzerland: Kunstgewerbeschule, Zürich; Cornish College of the Arts, University of Washington scientific illustration coursework, Gage Academy of Art workshops with master artists.
Tamara’s past illustration clients include: World Wildlife Fund, Zürich, Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle; Washington Park Arboretum; Sasquatch Press, Seattle; Schweizerische Post Telegram Telephone (PTT), Bern, Switzerland, as well as Swansons Nursery, Seattle, where she was recruited on staff to serve as Marketing Director for 16 years.
From her art studio located at Warren G. Magnuson Park, Building 30 West, Tamara focuses on painting subjects of the natural world, inspired to create paintings in a variety of mediums, including: traditional egg tempera, watercolor & oil. Studies as well as final renderings are created in silver point or graphite.
